Illustrations

“Dawn Sitting,” digital illustration in Procreate. October 2025.

A portrait of my character Dawn, a citizen of my city Dokona. I gave focus on my linework for this piece, making sure it was solid and ranged in thickness throughout. I kept my coloring crisp, with limited blended lines to keep the bold feeling consistent.

“Siren’s Shrine,” digital illustration in Procreate. October 2025.

A combination of prompts from Inktober, I challenged myself to create a drawing with a figure and background within a short timeframe. The figure, based off the historical designs of sirens, sits upon a shrine-like grave. The background features a moon, moth, lantern, and overgrown ivy - all prompts from the challenge.

“Reclining” diptych, charcoal and graphite, 20 x 26 in (each). April 2025.

“Self-Portrait” diptych, charcoal and graphite, 20 x 26 in (each). April 2025.

A peaceful contemplation on the similarities between me (right) and my mother (left). This project focused on the use of charcoal and portraying figures in a setting with accurate anatomy.

See my process

A live model and realistic skeleton as a comparison of anatomy inside and out. This project worked as practice of working within the time frame of a model session, getting down general shapes and values during and refining outside of it. The model versus the skeleton aided practice in drawing the exterior of the human body and the interior while considering perspective and pose.

“Self-Portrait as a Metaphor,” charcoal and graphite, 14 x 19 in. December 2024.

This piece focuses on both the content and rednering process. All objects portrayed here - a pearls and jade pothos, film camera, Nintendo Switch, and copy of Pride and Prejudice - can be found in my room at home. They all communicate information about me without displaying me directly. With this work I aimed for as much realism as I could, achieving great contrast to make the shadows and highlights stand out.

Explore Dokona

“Explosive,” digital illustration in Procreate. November 2025.

This cloud of light and dust is aimed to exercise background illustration. Occurrences like smoke and explosions are difficult to depict, and here I tried to articulate them accurately in my digital style with bold outlines to show movement.

“Dokona’s Inner City,” digital illustration in Procreate, October 2025.

A colored rendition of my world, Dokona, and the architecture that appears in the main city. I attempted a painterly style of coloring here, with minimal linework and use of multiply layers for shadows. The color palette was chosen with the city’s status in mind, light colors and shiny textures elevating its prosperous and powerful feel.
